HTLakeview offers a spirituality group that meets once a month from September through May on Monday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. Each session includes discussion, some centering time, and concludes with the liturgy of Compline (Prayer at the Close of the Day). This year we will be discussing the highly acclaimed book, Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life by Richard Rohr. Fr. Rohr draws on wisdom from many sources to help us understand the profound mystery that our failings are the source of ongoing spiritual growth. With rare insight he helps us see how the heartbreaks, disappointments, and first loves of life are actually stepping stones to the spiritual joys the second half of life has in store for us.
