David Brackley, Minister of Music

David Brackley had an early start in his career as a church musician, having begun piano study at the age of five, and becoming a church organist at age eleven. His piano study continued through his high school years, and his first organ study was with Lillian Robinson, then chair of the organ department at Moody Bible Institute where he enrolled as a Sacred Music Major in the fall of 1971.

Additional course study at Moody was with Gilbert Mead, and then with Robert Lodine, Dean Kincaid and Jack Goode at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago. Mr. Brackley has served several churches in the Chicago area, including The Moody Church in Chicago, Calvary Memorial Church in Oak Park, Church of the Holy Nativity in Clarendon Hills, Grace Lutheran Church in River Forest, and most recently at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicago.

For 29 years he taught various church music courses and applied music as a Professor in the Sacred Music Department of the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago. In addition to his responsibilities as Minister of Music at Holy Trinity he is a consultant with Triune Music of Elmhurst, Illinois, Midwest representatives for Rodgers Organs and Fratelli Ruffatti pipe organs.
